Wappalyzer Plugin - Instantly Know What CMS/Tools Used for Any Website

Incredibly cool and useful tool I just found today... Wappalyzer, a plugin for Firefox (shown above) or Chrome that will analyze the website you are viewing and tell you what content management system is in use on the site, whether Google Analytics is installed, and a host of other information about the code and tools used to build today's websites and stores. There are literally hundreds of codes and tools it can recognize. Very useful for web developers.

Wappalyzer for Chrome. This is in beta but in my testing it works really well.

Firefox 5 Released - Download Now!

It just seems like yesterday that Firefox 4 ended its seemingly never-ending Beta testing and was released... Now just a few weeks later we have Firefox 5; not a beta, but the FINAL release!

I have a very nice screenshot of Firefox 5, but in reality it looks very much like the new user interface design introduced with version 4. I cannot post said screenshot due to a current issue with Blogger, in that I cannot insert any photos at the moment.

If you are a Firefox user, definitely download the update. It can be had by going to your Firefox menu, and clicking Help / About Firefox. Firefox will automatically check to see if any updates are available, and let you choose to download and apply the update.

Alternately, you can go to GetFirefox.com and download the complete installation for Firefox 5 also.
